Finally left Cobar after replacing the faulty tyre ... the road was pretty rough in places

Finally arrived in Louth ... straight to Shindy's Inn.

Shorty having a drink beside the Darling River ...  The water was pretty low and falling

Looking at the van from the Darling River

We had a great fire ... plenty of firewood to burn

Pretty isolated campsite

Thank heavens for the on board loo in the van ... great view whilst taking a dump

  1. Local manufacturer

The bridge over the Darling River at Tilpa ... We drove 64 Klm's to Tilpa (dirt road) to checkout the Tilpa Hotel worth the drive

Having a Schooner of Great Northern at the Tilpa Pub
You could sign your name on the wall for a $1 donation to the RFDS if you could find a blank bit of wall or ceiling

Back at Trilby Station after the trip to Tilpa Hotel to have a drink beside the roaring fire

The best campfire ever ... there was Red Gum to burn everywhere

Coffee break on the road from Louth to Bourke

The dust is in everything ... but it was an adventure

At Mitchell Caravan Park in Bourke

To keep the locals out ... maybe

Funny sign in the caravan park

Great looking buildings in Bourke

Crossley Engine at the Wharf in Bourke  ... not a steam engine ... it's a diesel

This engine was built in the 1920's
